The First Day of “First Line Friday”

It’s here! The first of First Line Friday. As you may know, each Friday I will be featuring different authors’ first lines of their work. Whether novels or short stories, these first lines will be from fiction work. Authors come from all reaches across the globe. Their work is equally diverse in genres from romance to literary fiction.

First Line Friday is a chance for me to show off some authors who you may not have heard about before today. Each excerpted first line is shown in parentheses. Anyway, have fun!

This looks like fun! But I think I’m a day late. Are you doing this every Friday? But oh no, I’ll be in France next Friday.

Yes, we’re doing this every Friday and I’d rather be in France! LOL. When you can, send a first sentence and thanks for your note. -S
